MANAGING MEMBERS
Patrick K. Fox
Managing Member and General Counsel
Pat Fox is a founding member of Rockpoint and is responsible for the overall operations and management of Rockpoint, with particular focus on risk and liability management. Mr. Fox resides in and manages Rockpoint’s Dallas office. In addition to his responsibilities at Rockpoint, Mr. Fox continues to be a managing member of Westbrook Real Estate Partners, L.L.C. (“WREP”). Prior to joining WREP in 1996, Mr. Fox was a partner at the law firm of Jones Day where he spent 13 years practicing in the area of commercial real estate, with extensive experience in complex and tax sensitive structures and transactions. Mr. Fox received a B.S. from Texas A&M University in 1980 and a J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1983.
Keith B. Gelb
Managing Member
Keith Gelb is a founding member of Rockpoint and is responsible for the overall operations and management of Rockpoint, with particular focus on the oversight, origination and structuring of Rockpoint’s U.S. investment activities. Mr. Gelb resides in Rockpoint’s Boston office. In addition to his responsibilities at Rockpoint, Mr. Gelb continues to be a managing member of Westbrook Real Estate Partners, L.L.C. (“WREP”). Prior to joining WREP in 1994, Mr. Gelb spent two years at Morgan Stanley in the investment banking department focusing on the identification and execution of financing and merger and acquisition assignments. Mr. Gelb is actively involved with several educational institutions and other non-profit organizations. Mr. Gelb received a B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1992.
Gregory J. Hartman
Managing Member
Greg Hartman is a founding member of Rockpoint and is responsible for the overall operations and management of Rockpoint, with particular focus on the oversight, origination and structuring of Rockpoint’s international investment activities. Mr. Hartman resides in Rockpoint’s San Francisco office. In addition to his responsibilities at Rockpoint, Mr. Hartman continues to be a managing member of Westbrook Real Estate Partners, L.L.C. (“WREP”). Prior to joining WREP in 1995, Mr. Hartman held several positions in the real estate industry including spending seven years at Morgan Stanley Realty, ultimately serving as Vice President in charge of its western U.S. real estate activities. Mr. Hartman serves on the Dartmouth College Real Estate Advisory Committee. Mr. Hartman received an A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1980 and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1984.
William H. Walton
Managing Member
Bill Walton is a founding member of Rockpoint and is responsible for the overall operations and management of Rockpoint, with further involvement in the oversight, origination and structuring of all of Rockpoint’s investment activities. In addition to his responsibilities at Rockpoint, Mr. Walton is a co-founder and managing member of Westbrook Real Estate Partners, L.L.C. (“WREP”). Prior to co-founding WREP in 1994, Mr. Walton was a Managing Director in the real estate group of Morgan Stanley, which he joined in 1979. Mr. Walton is involved with several real estate industry organizations and has served as a Director or Trustee on the Boards of several public companies, as well as private and non-profit organizations, including Princeton University and Princeton University Investment Company. Mr. Walton received an A.B. from Princeton University in 1974 and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1979.
Brian D. Borg
Managing Member
Brian Borg is involved in Rockpoint’s international investment activities. Mr. Borg resides jointly in Rockpoint’s London and Tokyo offices. Mr. Borg joined Westbrook Real Estate Partners, L.L.C. (“WREP”) in August 1998 and moved to Singapore in November 1999, to Tokyo in August 2003 and to London in December 2005. Prior to joining Rockpoint, Mr. Borg was involved in establishing the Japan and non-Japan Asia platform and overseeing all Asian transactions at WREP. Prior to joining WREP, Mr. Borg worked for two years as a financial analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Banc of America Securities. Mr. Borg received an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University in 1996.
Thomas F. Gilbane

Tom Gilbane is involved in Rockpoint’s eastern U.S. investment activities. Mr. Gilbane resides in Rockpoint’s Boston office. Mr. Gilbane joined Westbrook Real Estate Partners, L.L.C. (“WREP”) in August 1999. Prior to joining Rockpoint, Mr. Gilbane was involved in WREP’s eastern U.S. and European investment and asset management activities. Prior to joining WREP, Mr. Gilbane worked for two years in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Gilbane received a B.S. in Engineering from Brown University in 1997.
Aric M. Shalev
Managing Member
Aric Shalev is involved in Rockpoint’s western U.S. investment activities. Mr. Shalev resides in Rockpoint’s San Francisco office. Mr. Shalev joined Westbrook Real Estate Partners, L.L.C. (“WREP”) in September 1997. Prior to joining Rockpoint, Mr. Shalev was involved in WREP’s western U.S. investment and asset management activities. Prior to joining WREP, Mr. Shalev worked for two years as a financial analyst in the Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructuring Department of Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. Mr. Shalev received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1995.

W. Dale Cline
Chief Financial Officer
Dale Cline oversees Rockpoint’s finance, accounting and tax functions, including managing all financial aspects of the Rockpoint funds, including investment and financial reporting, as well as tax compliance matters. Mr. Cline resides in Rockpoint’s Dallas office. Mr. Cline joined Rockpoint in January 2005. Prior to joining Rockpoint, Mr. Cline served as Controller at Terrabrook where he was involved in accounting, financial reporting and tax compliance functions of the company. Prior to joining Terrabrook in 1997, Mr. Cline worked for four years as Vice President-Financial Reporting at Paragon Group, four years as Chief Financial Officer at ClubCorp Realty, and seven years as Financial Vice President at Combined America Properties. Mr. Cline began his career with Arthur Young & Co. in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Cline received a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1976 and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
Hisashi Furukawa
Principal
Hisashi Furukawa is involved in Rockpoint’s investment activities in Japan. Mr. Furukawa resides in Rockpoint’s Tokyo office. Mr. Furukawa joined Rockpoint in April 2004. Prior to joining Rockpoint, Mr. Furukawa was Co-Head of the Real Estate Sector Team-Japan for UBS Securities from 2000 until 2004. From 1990 until 2000, Mr. Furukawa served in various capacities in Tokyo for Morgan Stanley Realty and the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds. He joined Morgan Stanley as an associate, was promoted to vice president in 1993 and executive director in 1998. From 1982 until 1990, Mr. Furukawa served in various capacities for Sumitomo Realty and Development. Mr. Furukawa received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1982.
Michael A. Gerlich
Principal
Michael Gerlich is involved in Rockpoint’s German investment activities. Mr. Gerlich opened and resides in Rockpoint’s Frankfurt office. Mr. Gerlich joined Rockpoint in January 2006. Prior to joining Rockpoint, Mr. Gerlich was a Managing Director of GE Capital responsible for its German real estate investment business. Prior to his tenure at GE Capital, Mr. Gerlich was a Managing Director of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments responsible for Germany and Central Europe. Mr. Gerlich possesses fifteen years of experience as a principal investor, leading corporate, portfolio and asset-level real estate investment transactions in Europe and the Americas. Mr. Gerlich received a B.S. in Business, Finance and Political Science from the University of Evansville Honors Program in 1996.
Ron J. Hoyl
Principal
Ron Hoyl is involved in the legal aspects and risk management of Rockpoint. Mr. Hoyl resides in Rockpoint’s Dallas office. Prior to joining Rockpoint, Mr. Hoyl was General Counsel for The Milestone Group for two years. Prior to joining The Milestone Group, Mr. Hoyl spent seven years as Associate General Counsel for Olympus Real Estate Partners. Mr. Hoyl began his career at the law firm of Liddell, Sapp and Zivley, now known as Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP. Mr. Hoyl spent almost 10 years at Liddell, Sapp and Zivley during which time he became a partner in the real estate section. Mr. Hoyl received a B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985 and a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1988.
Hank Midgley
Principal
Hank Midgley is involved in Rockpoint’s capital raising, new business development and investor relations activities. Mr. Midgley joined Rockpoint in March 2010 and resides in Rockpoint’s Boston office. Prior to joining Rockpoint, Mr. Midgley was a Managing Director at Beacon Capital Partners, where he was responsible for global capital raising and investor relations. Prior to his tenure at Beacon, Mr. Midgley was a Senior Director at Tishman Speyer, where he had responsibilities in both the equity capital markets and asset management groups. Mr. Midgley graduated from Dartmouth College in 1991 and received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 2003.
